2.The hydroformylation of functionalized a-olefins is highly regios elective. The sterically demanding ligand increases n/iso ratio by reducing rhodium interaction with heteroatom functionality
3. Ligand used in tandem reaction sequences where high n/iso ratio is desired in the hydroformylation step
