SMAD6 is a transcription factor that belongs to the SMAD family of proteins that regulate cell growth and development. Studies have reported that Smad6 inhibits TGF-β and BMP/Smad1 signaling.
Rabbit Anti-SMAD6 recognizes zebrafish, canine, bovine, human, mouse, rat, and chicken SMAD6.

应用
Rabbit Anti-SMAD6 can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 0.5-1.0μg/ml. It can also be used for IHC assays at 4-8μg/ml, using paraffin-embedded tissues.

SMAD6 (mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 6) is an antagonist of signaling by TGF-beta (transforming growth factor) type 1 receptor superfamily members; has been shown to inhibit selectively BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) signaling by competing with the co-SMAD SMAD4 for receptor-activated SMAD1. SMAD6 is an inhibitory SMAD (I-SMAD) or antagonistic SMAD.
