Anti-POMT2 (AB2) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1μg/mL.
生化/生理作用
POMT2 gene encodes for protein-O-mannosyltransferase 2 that catalyzes the initial step of O-mannosyl glycan biosynthesis along with POMT1. It also facilitates the transfer of mannosyl residue to hydroxyl group of serine or threonine. Both POMT1 and POMT2 are essential for the enzyme activity, expression of either POMT1 or POMT2 alone is insufficient. Defect in POMT2 gene results in walker-warburg syndrome, which is a congenital muscular dystrophy with abnormal neuronal migration.
