Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 (FBP1) deficiency is an inherited autosomal recessive disease. FBP1 is important in the carcinogenesis of different cancers. It promotes chemoresistance in cervical cancer. FBP1 is a tumor suppressor, which is downregulated in cancers. It regulates the Wnt/β-Catenin pathway in breast cancer.
