生化/生理作用
鹰嘴豆芽素 A 是在红三叶草 ( Trifolium pratense ) 中发现的一种异黄酮类植物雌激素，是ER-β雌激素受体的选择性激动剂，可能对乳腺癌有化学预防作用。与它对ER-α雌激素受体的低活性一致，它基本上没有子宫营养活性。鹰嘴豆芽素也是一种芳香烃受体(AhR)的配体。它可能通过作用于钾和/或钙离子通道，降低动脉阻力并增强微循环。诱导硫酸转移酶对外来生物的解毒作用被认为是其防癌作用的机制之一。
