Todd Hewitt broth is an enrichment media, which consists of glucose buffers, sodium carbonate and disodium phosphate. It favors the growth of hemolytic streptococci. It is used for the cultivation of pathogenic microorganisms.
应用
Recommended for the cultivation of group A hemolytic Streptococci used for serological studies.
Todd Hewitt broth has been used for the culture of various microorganisms, such as Bacillus subtilis and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

制备说明
Suspend 37 g of Todd Hewitt Broth in 1000 ml of distilled water. Mix well and dispense as desired. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121℃) for 15 minutes.
