生化/生理作用
具有抗真菌活性的核苷类似物。5-氟胞嘧啶通过胞嘧啶脱氨酶脱氨，得到 5-氟尿嘧啶，从而导致 RNA 错编。5-氟胞嘧啶抑制 DNA 和 RNA 的合成并干扰核糖体蛋白的合成。
