OLT1177 is an orally active, specific and potent inhibitor of NLRP3 inflammasome activation that decreases IL-1β and IL-18 release. OLT1177 exhibits no effect on NLRC4 and AIM2 inflammasomes activation. It appears that OLT1177 directly interact with NLRP3. It does not show hematological, or organ toxicities in humans at oral doses up to 1,000 mg/day
