Mast cells play an important role in innate immunity or the response of the body to invading pathogens. The functions of mast cells are regulated by a number of surface receptors; c-Kit (Stem cell factor receptor, SCF R; CD117) being the most critical. The signalling triggered by c-Kit results in mast cell activation in response to antigens. The response involves tyrosine phosphorylation by specific tyrosine kinases that drive the downstream signalling process. The secondary pathways activated by c-Kit include Akt, mTOR, MAPK, Sos-Grb2 and c-Jun. Phosphorylation of tyrosine 730 is required for the binding of PLCγ leading to activation of various signalling pathways In addition to development of mast cells, c-Kit also regulates their subsequent maturation and homing to the residence sites. Constitutive activation by SCF R is implicated in myeloproliferative discorders, systemic mastocytosis and gastrointestinal stomal cell tumors
The antibody detects human c-Kit pTyr⁷³⁰. Mouse, rat and cow (100% homologous), dog (92% homologous), chicken (85%) are expected to react.

应用

Anti-phospho-c-Kit (SCFR) pTyr⁷³⁰ antibody may be used for immunoblotting at a working concentration of 0.1-1.0 μg/ml using M07e cells.

Solution in Dulbecco′s phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.3, with 1.0 mg/mL BSA (IgG and protease free) and 0.05% sodium azide.
